L.G. Fisher paintings
Coming from a family of artists, it was only natural that LG Fisher followed in their footsteps. Inspired by her mother, a professional fine artist, LG started painting and drawing as soon as she was old enough to hold a crayon and use a paint brush.
Due to her father's work, LG's childhood was spent moving around the US, which was both exciting and stressful as her family never settled in one place for too long. Linda always found comfort in expressing herself through art.
Half Native American and a member of the Ojibwe nation, LG has a deep connection to nature and a profound love for animal life. She is also an animal intuitive and has gained worldwide recognition for her work to help animals.
Although LG received formal art training, she attributes her many years of travel and visiting art museums around the globe, as an equally important inspiration and influence in her art career.
As a young girl she was mesmerized by Picasso's work. Later she studied the art of Chagall, Miro, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dufy, Kahlo, Matisse, Pollack, Rauschenberg, and many others.
Her current body of work is a culmination of many years exploring styles, experimenting with various mediums, themes, and subjects. Whether abstract or visionary, LG's paintings evoke emotion and a sense of compassion.
Her new abstract-figurative work is an expression of visual storytelling -- soulful and poignant.
